1990 HZJ 73 1HZ Starter/ starter relay question

Not starting, Starter clicking strong. Batts fully charged.

Tapping starter not helping.

My question is IF the starter RELAY is bad would I be getting a click at the STARTER itself?

Just trying to narrow down my problem.

Might be a fusible link.
You can pull the relay plug and try cleaning and/or a quick energize with a wire from battery to the solenoid wire.
If you are comfortable try engaging the starter by tapping main power and solenoid power at the starter.
You can use wire or screwdivers depending on available room.
