1990 FJ62 w/Cummins 4BTA
The conversion was professionally done by Proffits Cruisers (Proffittscruisers.com) in 2006.
Asking $19,000 OBO.
Cummins 4BTA with rebuilt turbo and new injectors
the engine had approximately 84K miles at time of conversion and I have since put on about 3K miles.
Rebuilt 700R4 transmission mated to toyota transfer case.
Spring over lift w/add a leaf in each spring pack, rebuilt drive shafts, rancho shocks, 35” Cooper Discoverer tires.
Full Float rear axle w/ Toyota FJ80 electronic locker w/3:11 gears and a new axle shaft to engage the locker.
Front axle has Toyota FJ80 electronic locker w/3:11 gears and new axle shaft to engage the locker.
ARB bull bar w/winch mount.
Kaymar rear bumper w/swing out tire and fuel carriers and tow receiver.
Full length Con - Ferr roof rack w/Hi-Lift carrier
Tuffy locking center console
New head professionally installed by Cummins mechanic in 2007, (head gasket was leaking, minor corrosion on head, so we replaced with a new head.)
Rebuilt alternator in 2007
New Optima Red Top battery in 2007
New starter contacts and plunger in 2009.
The rear windows are slow due to the rubber window channels being tight from little use. All window and lock switch contacts were cleaned and lubed.
The windshield has a crack on the far left and rock chip.
It has the original paint job which is starting to fade.
There are a few small dings and virtually no rust, (The cruiser came from California.)
The Cruiser is titled and registered in Alaska and they do not specify diesel or gas on either form.
The Cruiser gets great milage, mid to upper twenties cruising on the freeway. It will cruise at 75mph + all day long. It runs great on BioDiesel and is a prime candidate for veggie oil.
Unfortunately this cruiser no longer suits our family needs.
The cruiser is located in Astoria Oregon and is my daily driver.
Serious inquires only please.
Cheers,
Jared
I do not have the time to get on Mud much anymore so please call if interested.
