I'm trying to get through figuring out why my front turn signals stay on the I turn on my lights. Ive checked the bulbs (knew that wasn't this issue but worth a check), and now I'm wondering how the signals ground. Is there a ground through the wiring harness somewhere or does it ground through the lens and to the mounting point on the fender. Thoughts are appreciated.

I have a wiring diagram somewhere for a 87-ish 4Runner should be the same I'd guess. I'll see if I can find it.

I appreciate that. Thanks.

Here's what I was able to find. My wiring diagram FSM is for 1986 trucks and 4Runners... Hope this helps.
