Selling my 1988 Short Wheelbase turbo-diesel LJ70 . I have more pictures available on my blog: http://laughsandlashings.blogspot.com/ Asking $9990 OBO. Call 503 810 4713 or email zombiemotors@earthlink if interested.

It has low miles (128K) Has only 70K on its engine (Was replaced with a rebuilt @ 50K) , and it starts, runs, drives and stops as it should. It is plenty zippy and returns about 32MPG on a run, and 25-28 in town. Has Toyota 2L-T turbo-diesel engine. Has all the looks and feel of late 1980s ' Hi Tech' Toyota fare - You will recognize the switches, seats and looks. Yes, it is RHD - Amusing for a while, but you will probably find, like me, you always walk up to the wrong side of the truck to get in.

Only problems with the truck are that the wipers are running off of a separate switch (I can fix this for you easily enough) , and the power steering has a leaky hose (I can also fix this once here for you). Fuel gauge is inaccurate below a half-tank (Can also fix!) - That is it. Otherwise truck has been in daily use until I bought it.

The truck looks very good, is very solid. It does have a rust spot on one corner of the sunroof- please see the photos on my blog. There are a couple other small spots of surface rust to address if you want the truck to be perfect. THE FRAME IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT however, and there is none of the usual door rust/ inner fender problems/ etc, truck is totally solid except for the areas mentioned. This truck was never available in the USA, and only just became eligible to import. It is all stock, and looks and runs great.

Truck will have clear Oregon title with 'diesel' indicated as fuel type. Will be able to register/ title and drive legally in all 50 states.

There is a small tear in the driver's seat, as pictured. Drivers side front fender flare has a smallish crack/hole in fiberglass, and there are a few small stone chips on the front and in the back which have small spots of surface rust showing. Passenger side rear flare has a spot where a strap rubbed on the way here in the container. Easy to sand and paint, over all very nice-- headliner is perfect, tires are good. Sunroof works perfectly and does not leak. Drives very well! Paint is original to the truck as is interior.
