For Sale 1988 Toyota 4runner turbo diesel California

This is a 1KZ-TE 3.0 liter Turbo diesel conversion from a Japanese 1996 4runner/surf. The front clip was imported to Phoenix AZ, and all of the electronics, engine, trans and transfer case were installed with dual yellow top batteries. The A/C blows ice cold The conversion was professionally done by a Toyota dealer mechanic. Interior is new, and body is really nice. It has 16" late model 4runner rims with Goodyear MTR's. The 4runner has a 1" body lift and new bushings in the front end. This thing has double the horsepower and 4 times the torque of the stock engine and gets better mileage. The diesel had 100,000 miles when swapped and it has had about 15,000 since the swap. It has a locker in the rear also. The 4runner drives like new. Call Mark 909-841-1200. It is currently registered and titled as a diesel in Utah. I'm selling it because I couldn't get California to register it because of the diesel. $13500 or Possible trade for a built 1996-1999 4runner or FJ80

I would've thought that if it said diesel on the title it would have been no problem. Sorry to hear it.

The stock engine must have been dog tired. Comparing specs doesn't yield anything close to this claim. But, very nice truck. GLWS.

Your right I was going by seat of the pants, so technically the hp is the same and the torque is about 3 times more. This thing pulls an automatic transmission fine. Not like the 22re.
