I've been trying to get rid of my warning lights being intermittently on. All new battery cables just before winter, now a new Denso 24V alternator is in and charging but batt, brake, turbo, and orange turbo lights are all on, all the time. I know my batteries need to be charged up but outside of that, or charge light relay any ideas out there?

Hi Phoenix--I have an 86HJ60 and had something similar.
?-Do you have a shop manual with the electrical section? Could be a couple of things: charge lamp relay, double check wiring for good connections to Alt?

Do the lights go off after 1,000 or 2,000 RPM? I know it takes a certain RPM to get the system to kick on for some reason.

Not much help but maybe a start

I know my hj60 wont excite the alt to charge until i blip the throttle over 800rpm when warm. Then all the warning lights go out.

mine also....after rpm hit 800-1000 the light goes off

did u have an external reg and change to an internal reg.
or hows the condition of the reg.

u have to do some rewiring when u convert from external to internal. any auto elec should know what to do.

Internal regulator from stock, new alt is in. I checked to charge lamp relay, it's working, maybe a bad ground, all new battery cables but I'm going to clean up the contact points again today.
