I don't mean to steal your thread, but could you tell me who did your exhaust system? I live in Denver and am restoring a FJ 62 right now.
Love the truck, hope you sell it soon.

I need one of those Reynolds Transport Theorems.:p

Awesome 62, all done to my taste, colour - RED, lift, tires etc... but unfortunately I am in Australia (not in Canada like lucky graymouser).

Thanks dark47, quite a compliment since we all love the Cruisers and options you have and we can't get. ;)

For the record and since I've been asked off the forum gray mouser appears to have lost interest.

If this had third row seating, I would sell my 80 today (don't tell her I said that) and buy this.

Very well built, perfectly suited to my taste.

Hey spdwaver, she heard and is plotting to break down on you when you least expect it. Better just swap with me and save yourself the trouble. ;)

Nice looking 80, I wait to swap until you get a lift to match those sliders.

Not sure what you mean by matching a lift with the sliders; it does have an OME Medium lift and a 2" spacer (I copied the Metal Tech style) in front (making it nice and level), Aussie in the rear, custom front and rear bumpers (subject to change in a moment's notice as I plan the next front/rear bumper build).

The front knuckle has been rebuilt (last week), but the Birfield's have not been swapped/replaced.

As I said already, my only hangup would be the lack of a third row; I have five (5) kids.

You have a very nice rig, regardless.

86, rebuilt motor about 40k ago. Lots and lots replaced when I did the engine. New clutch as of 1 week ago. Aussie locker rear, Trail gear sliders, good 32" BFG AT, SR5 package, sunroof, interior is pretty good.

Needs: it needs rust repair in a couple of spots. It was repainted at some point from the windows down. It could use paint on the a pillars and the roof above the front seats (in front of the fiberglass cap). It has surface rust / oxidation.

Could use lower gearing. stock tires are ~28" and I'm running 32's on the stock 4.10's. Doesn't like to go uphill very fast but I drive it ~ 30+ miles a day back and forth to monument.

Honestly I don't think it's on par with your wagon and not an even trade, but I thought I'd throw it out there as I was fantasizing about owning a wagon again.

You'd look good in a 60 again Mark, now that I think about it some of your truck is on mine. Can't recall what but it's on there.

Interest is picking up on it again, kind of a second wave I guess.

I'll know today if it's a deal or not but it looks like it'll be an '05 4Runner with all the bells & whistles. Suitable truck that'll need some mods but be appropriate for our needs as we enter our 6th decade.

Answering a couple recurring questions: yes the roof top tent is also available for an additional $500. No, I will not sell any parts and yes, the Front Range 4x4 on the rear is a removable decal and not paint.

And to followup my replacement is this:

Her name is "Princess" for obvious reasons.

When we took the Runner out for her 1st trip off the pavement I caught glimpse of a truck in the rear view mirror and pulled over to get a better look as it passed. A 100% stock red FJ62 lumbered past bringing me back to my 62's first run on the same trail. It really hit home how much I love the 62! :frown:
