I have been around the block on this and NO ONE.. and I mean NO ONE.... seems to understand this problem...

Replaced the alternator/vacuum pump as one unit and the truck seemed to correct it's problem of starting up... vacuum is 24 lbs and when revved up to 4,000 rpm goes to 27... should the pressure drop more from 24-27 to a higher number?

Now a week later the issue is back and it won't start in cold weather when it's hot and up to running temperature... I have to pour cold water or pack snow (( as we have New England )) weather here... on the top of the fuel injection pump and wait a minute until it gets colder... then it starts...

Anyone have any ideas as my hair is falling out from pulling it out in total confusion on this beast...

Just did a complete top end on her ... needed a new head and upper end parts...

Also the vacuum hoses going to the manifold where the high altitude compensator is... can I disconnect that as we are only a mile above sea level... Can I just plumb that straight to my fuel injection pump??

It would be great to face book chat anyone that has one of these... !!

THANKS...
