Well the ute passed the inspection but could not get the blueslip because it needs a engineers certificate for the modification Ie engine which is bull s*** as it bolts straight in no modifications at all so more bloody money he wanted to charge me $1200 bucks for the mod plate or he said I could take the turbo off and he would pass it as a 2h then put the turbo back on and I would still have to get a mod plate later on. but my uncle has a friend that will mod it for about $300. I got to drive it about 1km to my uncles front gate it drives great will definitely mod plate it and do everything right the first time great ute will keep for a long time

It has nothing to do with being a bolt in mod it's because it has more then a 25% increase in horse power. The 2H engine has 103HP and the 12HT has 134HP. It's minimal but still the law. Glad to see its close to getting passed. :)

Yeah mate should be inspected by the engineers on thursday

I have been thinking the 2F petrol engine has 125HP so the 12ht falls under the 25% ingress in HP so it should have passed with the 12ht engine. Coffers road tax

Here are some more pics of the ute

Yeah it cleaned up really nice

Just spoke to the engineer he was supposed to call me but never did turns out to pass engineers certificate I have to change the rims as they have to much offset apparently they are -22mm and factory came with +30mm your only allowed to have 25mm different mine are 52mm just gives me the s***s if it's not one thing it's another lately but I am working at the moment so I will just get sunraysia steel rims off my brother as he is a manger of a tyre store

Yeah engineer said to put the wheels off my uncles ute on it for the certificate one thing I didn't tell him after the phone call was those rims are the same offset

Yeah we definitely need rain as soon as we get a few big frosts all the grass dies off so there's no feed for the cattle

Hi Chappohj47, got another project in the can, RJ70 late model, coils all round (standard factory production), 12HT, auto trans, 43 series fibre glass body sport tub, 33" alloy wheels, what do you think?

PS, your ute is a killer, get your HJ47 finished, will make a good photo pair?

Watrob I love your build mate I am about to put the hj47 in storage for a while so it's out of the way so we can get the new fence put in I am looking at the brakes on my 75 series today as you put your foot on it it goes hard then slips down some more and goes hard again but the brakes work fine it feels like something mechanical

I can't wait to have a shed or at least a shopping container to store all the parts I want to buy in the future like other 12ht engines I have let at least 7 12ht engines drive buy as I don't a room for them yet

Yeah no probs mate

Only if you pump it up I think

If you need to pump the brakes up with out the engine running you have air in the system or its pulling air in somewhere.
