Hey guys/gals. I need to sell my recent 60 series project. The next rig has been waiting patiently and now it's time for this one to move on. I will have this truck listed elsewhere but offer it here to mudders first. $13,500.

1987 (1/87) Toyota Landcruiser (Land Cruiser) from California converted to run bio-diesel or petro diesel.

Features include:
Toyota 3B 3.4L diesel engine with CT26 turbo mounted to a 13BT manifold, H55F five speed transmission (never offered in the USA! We only got four speeds!), heavy duty transfer case with hi and low 4WD, solid front axle, rhino-lined interior for easy cleaning, new Kenwood CD deck with aux. input on the face, full length Tradesman roof-rack, Toyo all-terrain tires up front with snows in the back, two new batteries, newly rebuilt alternator with new voltage regulator, block heater, manual glow switch, A-pillar 3 gauge pod with exhaust temp gauge installed, NO RUST anywhere on the truck

Issues:
Leaks a little oil from the pan gasket, transmission drips oil as well, paint is faded, dent in rear corner. I don't have compression numbers but can send a video of the truck running. Mileage is unknown. ODO reads 225k, and donor truck had about 300k on it.

I just drove this truck from Seattle to Boston and back with no mechanical trouble. It runs like a top! This is the second conversion I’ve completed and it performs very nicely. The turbo makes all the difference!

This truck has a clear Washington title (titled as a diesel) and new registration (also as a diesel). It passed emissions recently with a 2% opacity result (20% allowed).

I’m selling to finance a third build project! This is a great truck!

Got any pics of the engine bay? Thanks!

The AC works great... just roll down the window... nah, no AC on this one, sorry! My average mileage on the trip was 23MPG including all the mountain passes! Here's the engine bay:

Man, I love it but I'd die in the Texas summer heat without AC.

Ok, now I think I'm tempted to buy your Cruiser. Really.
But since I live in Sacramento there are things for me to keep in mind though. :hhmm: Such as: no A/C, Kalifornia, how the family will react with the purchase? Can I homebrew biodiesel without getting flack from family or Kalifornia? ETC.

BTW, have you run this truck on bio yet? How are the seals, gaskets, hoses holding up? IP condition favorable for it? Are they synthetic materials?

Any suggestions on any of these potential issues would be appreciated. Especially how to stay cool w/no A/C....not just look kool. j/k :D

I have run the truck on 100% bio (there are a bunch of places here in Seattle that sell it at the pump!) and every mixture below that. Currently it's running on a B50 blend because the morning temps have been pretty low and I don't want to worry about gelling.

Having driven this truck fro about 8k miles since the conversion the only area of concern I have is the rubber hose from the injector pump to the throttle body (not the injector lines, which are metal). It's just a seep but I think it should be replaced with viton. Oddly I ran my last conversion on 100% bio for over a year without ever developing any leaks whatsoever.

The IP itself is fine... I did contact frybrid in seattle a while back about making me some viton injector seals (which they said would be no problem) but since they never leaked... I never changed them.

I guarantee you will look cool in this truck.

FWIW... AC can be installed after on a 3B. Not many CND 3B's had AC. One member on here, Cruiser_guy, installed AC using FJ60 parts. The difficult part is getting the 3B crank pulley for AC and the brackets to be bolt on. But it isn't impossible. I mounted a York on my 3B to run onboard air.

Bump-

Ac can be added to this rig

I found a 3b ac bracket here on mud for my 3b 62.

I was able to make a triple crank pulley with the oem 3b pulley and the 2nd & 3rd crank pulleys from a Toyo van.

The remainder of the ac parts interchange with a gasser 60 or 62.

Has the truck been in an accident? First pic looks like the hood/grill doesn't line up correctly.
