Hi, I Pulled a few engines. What standard bore piston rings are you guys using ? Toyota 250 ish ,aftermarket around 80.00 . My cylinder and Pistons look and measure within specs. Valves really need work, was thinking of stainless steel Chevy valves ? Thanks, Mike

Are you building yourself or will you have a shop do it?
I couldn't find a shop to do chevy valves in DFW so maybe you will have more luck. The shop i used for the head was on the north side of fort worth and did some work to improve flow, nothing major tho. I told him my goals with the head and let him run with it.
I let the shop who did my blocks machining (Textron in Houston) source the parts. Seemed simpler and that way I wouldn't run across any issues upon re-assembly.

I pulled the engine with friends and family ,lots of them thanks guys. I'll do some work and a long time friend and Toyota trained mechanic will do the rest . I'm already working on 3 cruisers from frame up to major body panel replacement. Add in the boats we are redoing and the building and remodeling business working on other people's property and my plate is full . Mike
