This is a base model, left-hand-drive, diesel, Toyota Land Cruiser, imported from Nicaragua. It has the rare split rear doors, rare front 40/60 bench seat and split folding rear seating. It has virtually no rust, solid frame and no leaks.
This is a solid diesel Land Cruiser. The body and chassis have 318,142 miles (512,000KMs). The engine has about 87,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt. The drivetrain, including axles, transmission and transfer case have all been rebuilt in the last 3,600 miles. The following is a list of recent work/specs:
- 1986 BJ60LV-KC
- Chassis # BJ60017342 / Engine # 3B0758376
- 4 Cylinder 3B Diesel with 87,000 miles on rebuild
- 4 Speed Transmission
- Push Button 4 High with Hi/Lo Transfer case with all new seals
- Rebuilt axles/birfs
- New Clutch installed within last 100 miles: OEM clutch kit including clutch disk, pressure plate and release hub bearing
- New Rear Main Seal
- New Battery
- New brown dash cap
- No heat or power steering
Surprisingly, for it's weight, I still have achieved 26mpg on a trip traveling 50-55mph. This is currently my daily driver and it's legally registered and insured in Portland, Maine. This is ready to drive as is or would be a perfect restoration candidate. You will not find another BJ60 with these rare features in the near future.
The following paperwork is included in the final sale:
- Notarized Bill of Sale
- Transfer of Ownership - State of Maine Registration
- Letter of Verification from the State of Maine - proves this Land Cruiser was legally imported and registered
- Signed DOT/EPA import documents
- Signed CBP Clearance Forms from import
Please send me a message/email with any questions.
Thanks,
Joey

FYI, this is also listed on eBay at the moment. If you search BJ60 or diesel Land Cruiser, it'll pop up. Let me know if you have any questions.

Gracias.

do you have receipts for the rebuilds?

Hi, sorry for missing this. I was in Northern Maine with no service/kinda nice not having internet and phone for a few days.

Anyway. Price is based off what I've seen on the market as well as NADA classic vehicle values. These rigs do not have a set blue book value as you may have noticed. NADA has a value for this vehicle around $10,600 or so. This doesn't account for its rare options or factor in how few of these are currently in the U.S. So, that's what I've based the price off for this particular LC. The price is negotiable, AND it definitely seems to fit what you're looking for minus the power steering.

The only thing I do not have receipts for is the rebuild of the engine. This was done 5 years ago. I have all receipts for axles, t-case, clutch etc.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks.

UPDATE:

My Current deal just fell through. The buyer had a pre-purchase inspection and these were the results:

Mechanically, the land cruiser is nearly at 100%. Drivetrain checked out, 4WD worked great, no leaks, engine checked out as well as transmission. As I stated in the ad, all of the drivetrain has had recent work, so none of the report from it at a mechanical standpoint was a surprise.

In terms of body work, it appears it has had more metal/fiberglass work than I noticed. Both front fenders have had work done as well as the rockers. They stated that the bottom 6" (for the most part) has seen some work. Again, this was not being sold as a "show piece" by any means. But due to these extra imperfections, I am lowering my asking price to:

$10950.00 negotiable

This is probably worth more than that in parts alone, as most of you on this forum know. I've received offers from two Land Cruiser parts establishments, but I can not allow this to be parted as it's a great daily driver.

So, please, feel free to connect with me at any point. We can chat over the phone or through this forum. Thanks again for all the interest.

I've talked to a few of you (Mud members) at this point. I appreciate all the feedback and positive remarks and also the "humble opinions," some of you share. Honestly, I do appreciate all of it as you all are a huge part of the Land Cruiser market.

I would like to really just get this LC moved. I'm reducing the asking price to:

$9999.99

(haha). I had to do it. That's still a negotiable price. I look fonward to chatting.
