Be careful how much oil you take off!

Rust Check or Krown are the way to go, shoot the s*** with the guys they tend to love cash deals!

i'd love to see this thing drive through a water crossing. oh the oil slick you would leave behind.
you'd kill everything in the water!

Thanks for all the moral support. My long term plan with this vehicle is not to drive it in the winter, it's not a DD, just as a weekend hobby vehicle to explore some trails locally and up at the cottage with. It'll be parked for the winter months. Safety check is now complete, only needed a licence plate light, plates bought and now I'll park it till spring. This weekend I changed all the oil, tranny, diffs, transfer, power steering. I also changed the body mounts and added a 1" lift from 4 crawler, went together well. As soon as the weather warms up I'll get the frame and area pressure washed, and start from zero with krown once a year. The previous owner oiled it and then drove it down dusty roads so the road dust soaked the oil and held it there. When it warms up it falls off quite easily. Underneath the oil he sprayed diluted the factory rust proofing which is like a bees wax and kept it soft all these years, when you wipe it off the original paint is still there, also the fuel lines are like new. The vehicle has previously had a brake job done c/w rotors, drums and some lines replaced.

I'll also be repacing the carpets with rubber type covering, although the floors are mint the carpets soaked oil up . Also I'll have to replace the rubber blocks under the axles, they are long gone. Also on the future wish list is aftermarket front & rear bumpers, winch and maybe sliders.
