We purchased an 82 with the components on this truck now, but it was in worse shape than expected. All the parts were then swapped to the 85’ body and frame. Nearly every bolt/nut has been touched on this truck within the last 2 years.

This truck has been amazing off-road, and done everything we have found to challenge it with no effort. See the links for pictures and video. It was a blast last year in the blizzards, and only got stuck when I attempted to pull out a F250 plow truck in 2 feet of snow. It was taken to the mountains of PA, and was able to do nearly everything that a friend with a Scout2 on 37”s did.

On road it is very comfortable at 65MPH. It is very stable and comfortable at that speed, but the RPM’s limit going much faster, as we did not like sustaining too many revs for a long time. We had planned to swap in TH400 transmission with overdrive, but never did.

See the links below for pictures and videos. Some videos show it on the old All Terrain tires, but it gives you an idea of the truck. It is very capable, and the videos (or cameraman) do not do the truck justice. Will update with more pictures and possibly more video, haven’t had time to search the hard drives yet.

m1985 Toyota Pickup. ARB's F&R LOCKERS , 35's, Buick 231 V6, TH350

Trying to help dad get this sold, he's 6'6" and he's looking to get something a little bigger. Make an offer.

I know I dont' have many posts on here, but I've been on Pirate for YEARS. I was a scout guy before, and on their forums ;)

To the top. Let me know if I'm priced too high guys

Stumbled across this rig on CL the other day. Looks nice. Which set of wheels/tires come on it? I saw a few different combos on the photohost site.

Thanks. It is on the 35" Mud Kings (the more aggressive ones) on chrome wheels. I liked the black, but dad preferred the chrome and it was his truck.

Tried to edit the title to put a space, no luck. Make an offer guys, worst I/he can say is no. I'm sad to see this for sale, and wanted to buy it from him myself, but don't have the money for it at this time. I hate being in debt/owing people money, and can't bring myself to try to figure out a deal with him. It really rides great on the highway, and a cheap OD tranny would really make this a perfect drive to the trail and drive home rig.

Bump for more pictures
