1985 Honda Accord, Need help

I have an 85 accord that started running bad after i cleaned off the engine the other day. Under load the car runs very rough, so i took off the distributor cap and cleaned off the contacts. It ran fine for about two days and now has started running bad again. Could the distributor cap be faulty, or is it something else? Any help would help me, thanks Matt

if its carb get rid of it now!...........ask me how I know, how you cant find them it JY's, cant rebuild them, cant hardly buy them,


Honestly, if its carb right now while its running do some research



Sounds like water under distributer cap got there by means of the vent, take it off, break parts cleaner it out let dry then lightly spray w/ WD40 (not required though) and replace.

I found the problem, the number one spark plug was majorly fauled, put new ones in and bam, runs good.
