Selling my 85 Cruiser that I bought over in San Diego late last year. Decided to devote myself to my FJ62. Thought I'd put this here on Mud before putting it up on Craigslist around the Southwest. This is a California truck in the desirable and rare copper metallic. Great recent paint job. Fantastic brown interior with the mustard and cream striped pattern. Drivers seat has been rebuilt and sits high and proud. No cracks in dash. Probably the nicest interior I've ever seen on an 85. Few small stains on headliner but that's it. Put adapters for three point harness seatbelts in rear seat. There are pictures of the truck in my album too. This truck was in an accident about 15 years ago and finally went through salvage title process last year. The guy I bought it from had bought it through insurance company, fixed the front end, installed new exhaust and repainted the truck in the original Toyota color. Yes I have double checked the paint code to make sure it was originally this color. There is also new exhaust, new clutch with pressure plates master and slave cylinders, new oil pump, oil pan gasket, full tune up, new side access gasket, and a new crankshaft and bearings that I got through Specter. Lastly a brand new Mean Green Alternator. I'll include the original Aisin alternator in the sale also. All of that was done by me since I got it. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things too. New front speakers Pioneers. It has a modern Pioneer radio in it that I'll be keeping so you'll need your own head unit. Still leaks a little around the rear main seal I've already put two new seals in there it might be a freeze plug or something I'm missing. The truck runs beautifully with a very low idle at about 650-700rpms. Shifts beautifully. No rattles or strange noises. Both Heat and the AC work great and of course this is a must here in Arizona. No rust on this truck. That's the body or the undercarriage. Looks like the undercarriage was treated with an anti-rust treatment at some point in the past. Aftermarket front bumper guard not shown in the photos.
No trades. Asking $15,800. Once you come and see the truck you'll understand why. This is head and shoulders above 90% of the FJ60s you will ever see and drive. you can message me with an email address and I'll shoot you over the Autocheck report which is like a Carfax just a little more complete. My cell is 623/332-3516

getting new at the pictures thing. I know the first couple are repeated. See individual files at bottom for interior and engine. I also added a hood light to the truck. And the tires are nearly new Michelins and ride great. Truck is standard ride height.

Forgot to add that I added brand new Aussie style mirrors from Specter to the truck. They are a vast improvement too. These were the actual Toyota product brand new not the aftermarket versions.

Im not in the market but its a pretty 60!

I've been lurking for a bit and becoming more obsessed about 60 series. Unfortunately, I live in NYC so have no place to work on a vehicle (even if I was wrench handy which I'm not) so I'll probably never own one and may look at the FJ Cruiser as my next fly fishing ride. Feel free to talk me in or out of it.

However, I just wanted to say that is a great looking truck.

They are really wonderful trucks that's for sure. I love the boxy body styles. the engines also run forever. I've seen some for sale in NYC before or maybe Brooklyn. Anyways the key is no rust which is this one. It's hard to find one in the NE US that's not rusty. Good luck.

I'm sure there are plenty of places that will work on an old land cruiser in and around NYC. Lot of resources and [mostly] good people on this forum to get help with all of that as well! FJ Cruisers are also pretty great if you need to go the "new" car route.

I have no issue in flying somewhere and driving a rust-free cruiser back (I can fly fish my way home) and I'm sure there are plenty of local people who would be happy to work on the vehicle for me. I'm just assuming that a novice owner needs either a healthy repair fund or the space/wherewithal to do the work himself. A car that needs to be in the shop often is a pain in the ass here. I just took my Honda in this morning and it's 2 hours of travelling to the garage and back.

just give me a call or PM me if you'd like to discuss this cruiser further. Todd

Can you post some pics of the undercarriage? Thanks in advance.
Undercarriage is super clean with new muffler and tailpipe. Give me a call with questions cell is above.

Still for sale. Put this on Craigslist today in a few cities here in the Southwest.
