1984 FJ60 Landcruiser 4X4
126,500 miles, but I drive it occasionally so the mileage will vary. The truck operates, runs, and drives fine for being 27 years old. The only major things that I have noticed wrong are the A/C and the rear heater. Neither of them work and I'm not sure why. I'm no great mechanic. Also, I'm not sure if the temp gauge and oil pressure gauges work either. They seem to be tempermental. Everything else appears to be in working order.
I bought this truck about 2 years ago and haven't modified it at all. I purchased from a guy who said he bought it from the original owner. The original owner reportedly only drove it on the weekends, or very seldom. Obviously, the truck has wear and tear and is not in pristine condition. There are also some rust spots on the wheelwells, door frames, and back hatch area. I painted them with some rust stop paint though.
After letting the FJ set for a few days I can go out and it starts right up. It does have the manual choke.
When I bought the truck I drove it back home on the interstate for 3 hours without issue. I believe that the vehicle is capable of doing this again, however, the limiting factor will be tires. I've not replaced them and they are dry rotting and the tread isn't very deep. I really don't trust them too much.
