I decided I need to sell the 1984 FJ60 that I have been working on the past couple of years. I’m moving across the country and won’t have a place for it for several months after the move. I’m in the middle of fixing a timing plate gasket oil leak (that is why the grill, headlights, etc are off in some of the photos but I do have these parts not shown). I should be done with this replacement within the next couple of weeks.
I’ve done the following work on the rig since I’ve had it: replaced the master and slave clutch cylinders, new brakes all around, new clutch, flywheel, and throw out bearing, new oil pan gasket, new rear main seal, the carb was rebuilt by Mark at Mark’s off-road, new bvsv sensors, new thermostat, all new vacuum hoses, new timing gear cover gasket (and soon a new timing plate gasket), new front calipers (I have new wheel cylinders for the back wheels that I’ll include), new fuel filter, new window channels, new radiator, new fan, new fan clutch, new water pump, new belts, and I rebuilt the front knuckles and locking hubs, and a new battery. I haven’t driven it in a while because I’ve been working on it so much, but the engine fires right up and sounds good. It definitely needs a paint job and the interior needs to be cleaned.
