Have one 1983 Mercedes Benz 240D 4 cyl. diesel with 4 speed manual transmission (no turbo). 185,000 miles, daily driver until very recently. Interior is showing its age. Body has no major rust, but a couple of spots around rear fenders and door edges. Some mismatched paint too, and one mismatched hubcap.
New at less than 10,000 miles:
-tires
-radiator, lower hose heater, and heater core valve.
-left rear lower control arm and CV axle.
-oil filter housing gasket.
New at less than 30,000 miles:
-all 4 brakes, including: rotors, pads, calipers, flexible hose, and master cylinder.
-front main engine seal
-valvetrain adustment (mechanic said the timing chain looked new and couldn't improve upon the valve lash, so it's basically good to go until 250,000 miles)
Have all invoices/receipts.
Engine runs strong but does burn a bit of oil, low to moderate consumption. Been a good reliable D/D'er but the stable is too full and something's got to go. Just had all PM service done (filters, diff, trans, and engine oil). Gets ~25mpg built like a tank. Decent stereo but with crap speakers. A/C is a bit weak and probably needs recharge.
