1983 Diesel Land Cruiser HJ-47 (2-H) Right Hand Drive
The truck was originally purchased from Toyota by a mine in western Australia. It was converted into a four-door by an ambulance conversion company called Arcana. The truck is currently registered in North Carolina and driven regularly as a secondary vehicle. The oil has been changed with Rotella T and fresh oil & fuel filter as well. The radiator and coolant has been back flushed with fresh coolant and new thermostat.

I'll help ya out.. welcome to mud..

Aussie Winch (? What's that mean? Is that a brand? Sorta looks like an 8274 on the front
*4-speed ? H41? H42? Which transmission.. Hint.. Most of the time there's an ID plate on the door frame.
And Shackles? Can you provide a better picture of that rear shackle please?
Disk brakes up front or drums?
what's "Ipe Wood in Bed" is that the side pieces??
What's it registered as?
Aux air? like an ac box in the back? don't see one under the hood..

These are the basic questions people will probably want to know for a $25000 truck with no history and a first post on an internet sight for landcruiser addicts.

Thanks for the welcome.
Correct the winch is a Warn (M-8274-50)
Cant find any tags or markings to ID trans, Any identifiers to look for? It has the original Full float rear axle.
Shackles are grease-able Old man Emu. I will get some pics posted later today.
Disc brakes up front drums in back.
Ipe is a very dense hardwood that will not rot. Kind of like Teak. It is the side pieces as well as the truck bed decking. I will get some pictures of the bed as well.
It is registered in NC as a personal Vehicle.
The A/C compressor, drier, anc condenser are under the hood. There is a A/C box under the glovebox on the passenger side that has a blower fan. There are only three lines that run through the firewall(two Gas hoses and the A/C clutch wire)

The ID tag for the truck.. Possibly on the firewall will state.. H41 or H42 as the transmission.. Which will specify a 5:1 first gear or 3 something to one. Should also have vin and engine #'s on it.

Personal vehicle ? Is that what it's titled as? is it actually titled as an 1983 HJ47 Toyota LandCruiser or something else that meets USA titling?
If you ID the stuff it will help the sale.. It looks really cool and would be a great "family" style truck.. i'm personally not interested but there are many on this site that will be very interested.
People will need a LOT more pictures before asking any questions.

Another area to possibly "advertise" on Mud is the 45 section.. That's where most of us FJ45 geeks hang out.

I am familiar with the ID tag, however there is no Trans ID on it. No gear Ratios Just VIN and year which is actually 1980- Hopefully a moderator can help me change the title of the thread. Anyway are there any external differences between an H41 or H42 or is it just internal gearing. I know it wont help much, but first gear is very low, almost unneeded. Could I look up anything by VIN?

Hey Guys,

Sorry, this is our shop truck and I'm the owner. Alex has graciously taken the time to put a few things up while I've been out of pocket. You can search some of my posts for a little more history on the truck. I was not able to go through everything before we posted so give us a little time and we'll amend.

We've definitely loved her but our business has been in a 5 year happy bubble that has popped so the economy is getting us a bit. Standby and we'll get some more information. We will likely start a new post.

Thanks and sorry for the premature post.
Chris

Post this in Olde North State Cruisers club section. I've seen cruiser several times around time and never have been able to check it out up close. I can look at it if anyone is interested. I'm in the Morehead City area of NC. I can also Deliver for a fee. :)
