^ The photo above was taken by her previous owner and does the Troopy great justice, hope he doesn't mind if I use it here. The door sticker was promotional and is not now on.

I've been advised to put it up on ebay, but I'd rather do it here for now. We're selling our 1983 FJ45 Oz Troop Carrier. Located in Phoenix, AZ.

If you have any concerns, I'm more than willing to have any 3rd party from ih8mud or ExPo discuss her quality. This is the ultimate 'round-the-world platform in simplicity, GVWR, interior volume, off-hwy capability, blah, blah, blah.

  • Legal AZ Title
  • Fantastic condition. Runs like a top, starts with first crank. This vehicle is not restored but is in really great shape both body and frame. I will take any requested picture and post, you name it.
  • ~205k miles
  • RHD
  • 2F w/ LPG (registered as alternate fuel)
  • "World Market" smog, points and vacuum advance dizzy
  • H41 w/ Fairey overdrive
  • Mileage 15-18mpg, less on the propane
  • FF rear, 4.10s
  • OME F&R

Reason for selling is upcoming law school, none other. No need for a sob story or anything, but by far the most fun LC I have ever driven :steer: and I have owned and driven many LCs.

Asking price $17,000

Hey everyone, the Troopy will be available to be seen at Camelback Toyota on and around 24 June, brand-new dealership location for sure worth checking out, and a good group of folks that I've worked with supporting our LC sickness.

She is now shod in OEM steel 16" "black hole" rims on 255s.

Cheers,

Hey Scott, did A- ever add power steering? Are you still considering a trailer?

Have not determined the best route for PS but yes seriously considering the RHD minitruck if Troopy does not sell. As for trailer, that too considering heavily for the larger family (2200 rooftent no longer cutting it), but starting July my life looks quite different with job & school, luckily work pays for some of the costs, but not all.

I enjoyed having your rig at the store! It is a blast to drive and the right hand drive wasnt as weird at all to drive as i thought it may feel. I just have to remember to get in the "right" side of the vehicle when moving it though . The 45 is in great condition and was very popular during its stay here - as you can see.

Thanks again Scott!

Sale pending; going once?

Congrats to the lucky new owner. I knew it was only a matter of time, too nice a rig to not sell.
