1979 pickup tach diagram needed (1 Viewer)

Trying to get my tach working again. Power and ground are good, the Haynes manual doesn’t have the right color wiring for a 79. Already swapped another cluster too with no luck. Anyone have factory 79 service manual or can tell me which wire is the tach signal?

I got that part, but then it plugs into a yellow wire in the engine harness. My Haynes manual says it’s back at the gauge

Pretty certain its black from tach to coil. Dont think there are splices.

that’s why I’m getting confused, when i ohm the yellow wire under the hood and the black wire on the back of the cluster it get 0 ohms which tells me that the signal wire is good but still no working techs on two different clusters.
