1979 FJ40 - Refreshed in 2007, this cruiser is daily driver quality. Your typical '20 footer' that has maintained its looks since then (i.e. there is some metal replaced and filler in areas). It has been garage kept and regularly serviced while in my ownership. I believe I'm the third owner. I bought this FJ40 from a private seller in 2009. Drove from Arizona back to Colorado with zero issues. My goal was to find as many stock pieces and parts over the years as I could. The only non-stock look would be the lift, tires and wheels. Clear Colorado title in my possession.

Engine
Stock 2F with ~69500. I have no documentation to show original miles or flipped odo. All original smog parts and has passed Colorado emissions annual test the 5 years I've owned.

Electrical
Everything works. Lights, blinkers, heater, wipers. One exception, the dome light is present but I've never got it to turn on.

Transmission
Shifts smoothly and all 4x4 modes work as expected.

Upgrades
- 5 x 33in BFG Mud-terrain KF2 (3500 miles on tires)
- Dakar OME 2.5" light to medium duty lift (work completed by Rocky Mountain Cruisers in 2010)

Maintenance
- Full carb rebuild
- Thermostat replace
- Radiator replace
- oil pan replace
- center arm steering knuckle rebuild
- Rear diff rebuild
- starter rebuild
- Valve stem oil seal replace
- Clutch slave cylinder (new)

That would be quite the match with your FJ! Time to move on to other vehicles. I've owned FJ40's for near 15 years and I'll get back to them someday. Thanks!

You got a photobucket or something with more pics?
Photos forwarded to email.

The cruiser is SOLD and heading to California. Thanks for the interest and best of luck for those looking for their perfect truck.

If you don't mind can you let us (or just me) know how much it went for?

Thank you,
-MD
