1979 fj-40 no rust original
1979 72500 miles, factory power steering,not sure if the winch is a factory or dealer option.dealer installed a/c converted to on board air.hard top,almost new softop,bikini top soft doors.custom bumper rack wet okala seat covers ome suspension original 373 gears,trans and transfer case and engine.33x10.50 tires tuffy center and rear locking cargo box.Holley carb.It has been painted once with no evidence of rust or body damage or bondo,past or present.
The real value to me is that it is a rust free vehicle after years of wrenching on rusty crap in the northeast I vowed I would never own a vehicle with rust,so I paid a little extra and never regretted it.
This vehicle was bought and sold at the toyota dealership in Birmingham ALA,As far as I can tell I am the third owner.
This is not a restored showpiece,this is a daily driver with the usual fj-40 quirks.It would need better gearing to be a rockcrawler IMHO too nice to beat up.
It has been used primarily for camping and hauling my mountain bike around,Now that I have three kids it couldn't be more impractical so it is rarely driven but always ready when needed.
