I'm new to the group and live in Norcal. I had a 1977 Fj40 as my first rig almost 30 years ago. It had a Chevy 350 in it and I added a bunch of other things to it as I earned cash. I sold it when I joined the Marines and regret the sale to this day. Now I have 3 boys getting close to driving and I want them to learn how to work on trucks, etc. Looking for another 350 equipped (will take original engine) FJ40 that needs some work. Hoping to stay in the $8-10k range. Thanks in advance.

Sorry guys...I'm a moron. Meant to put this in the Wanted section...then tried to delete it (can't figure that out) and repost. Sorry for the mis-post. Any help to get it to the Wanted section is welcome.

I'm not in Cali, but have read more than a few horror stories about emissions there, may want to open your range to include early models/ i'm certain some experts will chime in with more details.......

Thanks Swamp-thing. In the 77, I had a 72 Chevy 350 and think that was a work around for emissions? But...that was over 30 years ago.

Cool retro photo. So here is the real painful question. How much did you sell you '77 FJ 40 for back then? I remember I sold my '72 442 Cutlass for $2,300 when I was 18. Stupid kid!
