Hi everyone,
Due to some family issues, I need to sell my beloved Cruiser, “Petunia”. I'm hoping it can find it's way to a good "Cruiser home".
Petunia is a 1977 Toyota FJ40 121,3xx miles on original 2F, 4 speed tranny, disc brakes- Bought in summer of 1999 in Frazier, CO with 116,497 on the odometer used only in the summer for nine weeks and stored in a locker during the winter. (I work out here in the summers) Mechanically very sound and well taken care of.
First, the bad – some rust (see pics), no hard top (although I know where the original is), and the paint needs help! With a new paint job and some small rust fixes, she will take you anywhere you want to go for a long time.
I have added the following to it since I’ve had her:
3” Alcan Spring Lift, with longer, greasable shackles front and rear
Longer reinforced brake lines
Rancho 9000 shocks
Power Steering added with Classic Cruisers PS kit
Steering stabilizer
New Battery
New gear reduction starter
Roll cage courtesy of Classic Cruisers (welded together and installed by Stage West)
New clutch and related items (throw out bearing, etc.) put in two years ago by Stage West
32” x11.5 BFG Mud Terrain – purchased in 2000 from Sears, very good tread left, spare brand new
Tuffy Center console - Aiwa stereo included, but it ain't Alpine or anything!
Warn 9000 lb winch
4+ front bull bar
Hi-Lift jack 60” with rear wheel carrier – Cool Cruisers of Texas
Various things to go with any Cruiser loyalist who takes her: all recovery and tow gear, and some items not installed: set of new tie rod ends, an oil cooler, a Jim Chenoweth tuned carburetor, whatever else I find laying around that you’re interested in.
I would very much prefer this to go to a loving Cruiser home. I am leaving town at the beginning of August so please get in touch if you’re interested. Asking $5,500 and located in Aspen, Colorado.

Please email with any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
Cheers,
Kevin
