I'm finally coming to the realization that I don't and won't have time for all my rigs, so this is the next one to go. I bought this about 8 years ago with 42k miles and now it's up to 55k. It has been one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned, but the list of deferred maintenance is getting longer each year, it seems, so hopefully I can find a buyer with the time to put a little tlc into it.

The good:
It has brand new Specter replacement upholstery on the front buckets.
CCOT best weatherstripping on all 4 doors a couple months ago (no more rattles)
CCOT headliner a couple months ago
Cleaned and re-sealed the cowl seam with 3M 2-part automotive seam sealer so it doesn't leak into the glovebox
OEM Toyota window channels and felts last fall
Good 31" tires on chrome fj60 rims
ProComp 2 1/2" lift
Low miles, strong running motor
Armstrong steering is still pretty tight. I replaced the input and pitman oil seals a few years ago so the box doesn't leak.
Currently desmogged and running fj60 electronic ignition, but have all original smog parts and distributor
Manageable rust--floors, doors, hood, windshield frame, bib, hardtop, frame rust free
Knuckles rebuilt 3 or 4 years ago
Has a Suzuki Sidekick rear bench in it, but jump seats are included in good condition.
CCOT early LC mirrors with Jeep mirror heads for going topless

The not so good:
Could use a carb rebuild, I think. I rebuilt it when I got it. The accel pump still works, but I think it could run better. It always starts, even at near-zero temps.
Rear main seal leaks
tranny to t-case seal leaks (I put a transfer tube on for now from MAF)
Rust in rear sill all across
Rust bubbles at front of rear wheel openings
Rust in front fenders
I've wheeled it quite a bit over the 8 years and the rockers/steps are pretty beat.
I think it was layed on its side early in it's life (thus the crappy paint)--I believe the driver door and w/s frame are OEM replacement parts, the hardtop side was a used part, and the front fender was repaired rather than replaced. The rear quarter probably had a dent and was repaired, though nothing terribly obvious from inside

Hard to determine value on it, so I'll start at $5k and see if there is any interest. I'm not particularly interested in trades, but might consider some kind of replacement for my 80--a cleaner 80 or a good commuter

Interested in the rig, my budget and the price wouldn't be a problem if I didn't reside in upstate NY. You willing to talk things out?
