I have a 76 FJ40, Olive Green Body off resto that I would like to trade for a 76+ FJ40 daily in exc shape. Closer to stock is preferred i.e. I do not want a 350 conversion or spring over.
The 76 I have has the following (from what I can recall off the top of my head):
62k original miles
Weber carb
Header
New exhaust form header back
New AL tub
Rhino lined interior AND underside
New metal front fenders
NEW Toyota emblems (all)
New paint (roll bar included)
From A pillar up, all paint removed and repainted
Stock wheels (blasted and repainted factory grey) on 33X9.50 TSL's (less than 1 mile on tires)
New bikin top
Reupolstered factory seats (front)
Rear seats in exc. condition
Mostly (as in minus the carb/header and larger tires) stock.
Coated (rust preventor) frame
New Toyota front signals
New Toyota rear markers
I did not restore the top yet and the 76 needs a couple of minor things done to complete:
Seats need to be reinstalled (all seat hardware was blasted and painted)
Lights need to be put in the bib
Some bolts here and there
Anyway, this was a 40 I got a bit obsessed with and it ended up going from a "I don't care what it looks like" to "I want it to look like that Olive 40 on the CCOT site". So, I have done 99.9% of the grunt work and the expensive work, and right now I have gone back to the I need a practical 40 I do not mind getting a scratch on. So, I am looking to trade + cash for another one. Give me a call because I would rather not post a bunch of pics. One is below in the middle of the resto but you get the idea of look and color.
Thanks.
