Help!
I started working on "old rusty" and found things to be pretty rough. The tub is about rusted away and had some trail mishaps that make it impossible for me to get accurate measurements.
The least of my worries is "restoration" but i need measurements to be able to retain the hardtop for the Winter.
Are the top of the rail (outside-to-outside) of the lips 63 1/2"?
Top of lip to bedfloor 16"?
Some would say "buy a tub" , this is going to be a trail rider and first car for my daughter.
So my plan is to build a tubing frame eleiminating the tail gate (requiring me to convert to <74 rear hatch) a good roll cage.
I'm going to wrap the frame in cold rolled 14-16 gage steel and may us that or Aluminum for the floor and wheelwells.
We'll see. I'll post pics of the mess when I get enough posts
