*****Sold****1974 FJ55 For Sale
I'm selling my 1974 FJ55, reluctantly but I need the garage space. This is a stock vehicle, F engine (later oil pump configuration), body in very good shape (no rust through, slight pitting at rear of front fender wells). It only has 33,400 miles on it (yes, that's right - I got it from my dad 10 years ago and I rarely drive it. He kept it in a garage at the cabin in New Mexico most of its life and used when they visited). It has a new clutch (pilot bearing went out and I thought it best to replace the whole kit while I was in there). I just relicensed it and it passed the Arizona emissions inspection no problem. It runs great, no problems.
FYI the interior has one damaged area. PO (my dad) had the exhaust redone and routed under the vehicle. Lack of a heat shield makes the floorboard get pretty warm. One summer day I left it idling to keep the battery charged, and unfortunately didn't realize that the heat from the muffler was melting the mat. So - an ugly spot on the rear floor and the bench seat (it was tilted forward). Bench is covered with slip cover now. If not for that the interior is almost like new.
Price is $7,000. Vehicle is in Tucson, AZ.
