Temperature sending unit not working.

- Brand new OEM sending unit from Toyota dealership.
- Removed and Cleaned Adapter fitting. It was a little rusted. Wire brushed and cleaned.
- Put dialectic grease on Temp. sensor plug to maximize connection.
- Grounded Temp. wire with test light. Light flashed and gauge moves from Cold to first hash mark when grounded.
- When I start it up Gauge does not move and stays cold.

Anything else I'm missing?

"Ox-Gard" works good for electrical connections.

Mahalo for the replies. It works!

I let it run for about 30 minutes and the gauged moved above the first hash mark.

It is not street legal so I don't get to drive it in my area too much. I don't think I let it run long enough the first time I cleaned everything.

Thank you again.
