Mudsters,

I'm reconstructing my heater system in a 1974 FJ40. I need the fitting which goes into the engine block (F motor). Also looking for the Tee fitting that goes in the lower radiator hose. Both of these items seem to be scarce.

Heater hose should be easy to get at the parts store, I imagine...

Thanks,

Dave

I have a used lower rad tee from my 77. It has some pitting, but I think I rescued it before it went completely South--yours for the shipping-- Lwr Rad Tee Dimensions.webp lower radiator tee1.webp lower radiator tee2.webp

I imagine www.marksoffroad.net would have the bits you need, but he's got a min order amount, I think around $80? You also might post in the wanted section or hunt the various MUD virtual bone-yards.

I'm not sure, but I kinda recall people making fittings that work using brass NPT pipe for the fitting in the head. I believe the newer style T fitting for lower rad hose is avail from Toyota. It's different, but works. :meh:

here is the tee, $35 sounds good for new
