This has been my dream Moab vehicle, and I have spent 7 years and a good chunk of $ building it. I bought this FJ40 for $12,500 with a substantial amount of the modifications done, but my wife just bought a Jeep Wrangler JK and we are buying a house so its gotta go! I have just lowered the price $1,500, my loss is your gain, etc. etc, etc.......It has a fuel injected Chevy 350 engine, TH400 automatic transmission, a spring over axle (SOA) lift that was done properly, cutting the ends of the axles to realign the differentials with the transfer case so there is no undo stress due to extreme driveline angles. All four shocks are new, and it has a "high steer" kit that moved the steering linkage from below the leaf springs to above them for less potential interference when offroad. It has a new red top Optima battery, a new starter, new water pump, and a custom aluminum radiator to compensate for the switch from the original 6 cylinder stock engine to the current 8 cylinder engine.It has a custom roll cage, a Tuffy lockable console, both hard and soft tops as well as a new bikini top. It has completely restored full steel doors with all new weatherstripping, window cranks, door latch/lock hardware and new paint. It also comes with full soft doors for the soft top, and 1/2 steel doors with no glass to be used primarily with the top off.It has a Ramsey Patriot 9500 winch with a stinger front bumper made of THICK steel. It also has an aftermarket spare carrier that puts the weight of the full size 35"X12.5" wheel and tire on the aftermarket steel rear bumper. It also has a second fuel tank in addition to the stock one.I can not possibly remember all that has been done, so it does really warrant an in person visit to see the level of detail that has been given throughout the buildup.The phone number included in the listing is my cell, and can also accept text messages if that is more convenient.
