Well we have all heard the project story before. Don't have time, babies on the way, building a house, ect.... My story is this. I picked up another project htis weekend that I just couldn't resist. I know now my time and money will go to the new project and I'm just being realistic. I could use the space and a little extra cash also.
1973 FJ55 (Some may call it a 72)
Manufacture date - September 1972
VIN - FJ5529809
FRONT DISC BRAKES
SAGINAW POWER STEERING
SBC 305 Roller Cam
Background - I purchased this Pig a couple of years ago in the Atlanta area with no drivetrain installed. It came from California (I still have the California tag) to Atlanta where the F motor eventually let go. I had a pig before that was total junk and I sold it. I vowed that if I got another it would be nice. This 55 is real solid. I can't say it is rust free but it is LOW rust. It appears that early in it's life there was some type of undercoating installed that has prevented most rust. The worst rust is in the front fenders behind the wheel wells that can be patched easily. There is small amount of rust under the rear doors and in the doorways. There was only a slight bit of surface rust in the floor near the doors but I sanded, rust treated, and primed and painted the areas. The rear cargo area is great. The top is solid with some rust in the channel areas but nothing major. When I installed the motor I removed the front clip and treated all rust which was not major and primed and painted before I re-installed. The underside is pretty low rust. The rear rockers are in good shape also. I have all lights, trim, rear cargo panels, emblems, ect. bagged up.
DRIVETRAIN - I installed a Chevrolet roller cam 305 using AA mounts with a quadrajet carb. I used a MARK'S ADAPTER mated to a 1980 stock 4-speed transmission with a CENTERFORCE clutch and pressure plate. The drivetrain is in it's stock position and not all stuck up under the heater.
INTERIOR - The interior is in real good shape. Dash is real ggod and the seats are nice. Stock Toyota mats installed with no holes. Under these mats is a sound/heat proofing material. Headliner has a couple of torn areas.
EXTERIOR - Again, the exterior is not perfect but pretty good. There is a dent in the left rear door around the window but very minor. It will need a paint job before completion. The top is in good shape. HOOD is in good shape and is sanded and ready for primer/paint. I have all fenders, grill, headlight rings, ect.

I have put a TON of time and work into the Pig. Nothing has been "booty fabbed" in. My intentions was to build a daily driver/hunting rig. I have just driven it up and down the rural road I live on and it is not registered or insured thus it will have to be towed. Georgia does not require a title so I do not have one. The pig still needs tires and completion but I have already done the hard part. It runs and drives good but again it has bugs to be worked out. I have ton of pictures but please do not ask me to go to the trouble of wending if you are not serious.

I'm asking $2850 OBO and I may consider some partial trades. I've got WAY more in it. I'm just trying to get a little cash back.
I'm sure there are things I have left out so ask any questions and ask for specific pictures if you need any.
