So, you guys would have to torment me with thinking about all this again, but I appreciate it:)

if I went through the frame, which would you guys choose. 1) A sleeved bushing that Ruffstuff offers, or 2) no sleeve?

Ruffstuffs would b 2" o.d. DOM or I have some 1 ½" x .250 DOM with the same bushing as stock spring bushings, with no sleeve.

I think I'd prefer 1 ½" hole instead of 2"

I'm going to investigate this. Disassemble spring pack and flatten like Medusa did to see where to locate hole. Kinda getting excited about it as it would be a super clean way to go, and lower height to boot

I have stuff on hand already, other than offset shackles

Their are some pros of a bottom of the frame mount like u have. U can tackweld the mount, get the truck all together, and flex it out and see what u think and if it needs to be moved which is nice. Through the frame would give u an 1" lower ride height, but once the holes drilled it's done. If u go through the frame don't use a fj40 sized bushing. Use something bigger like a fj60 bushing, fj40 sized bushings don't last too long with all the flex of a soa if u wheel much. I'm not sure how big the ruff stuff bushings are. If u do bottom of the frame and it's too tall u could get some reverse eye leafs and that would lower it.

If u cut the spring perches down so that the pin almost touches the axle housing-its a easy way to reduce ride height a little. Even .5" makes a fair difference, just an idea anyway.. Also, u may want to bolt a fender on and tires on with a few bolts and cycle suspension flex to see where everything lands in the fenderwell and how it looks. You may find u want to move things around or find some issues b4 it's all welded up. Maybe u already did that and I missed it. If u use a short stock length shackle it will increase handling a little, longer shackle will increase flex depending on what u want.

Long Wheel Stud Post, really a post just for me to remember this, or whoever might need longer wheel studs. Found it on another Mud post, but putting it here too

That may have been my post. If I can offer any advice, find someone local to order them for you and ship to the states. I tried for months and Nice never responded back to me.

I’ve installed them and they seem well made.

Nice spring plates, are those 1/2”?!

By "local" did you mean a stateside vendor? Such as CruiserOutfitters or whoever? Do they not ship to private individuals?

I found someone in Australia, then used PayPal to send the money. Even then, Nice took several weeks, maybe even a month or so, to fulfill the order with limited communication. I wasn’t in a hurry, so it was no big deal.

The person who helped me then shipped the package to the U.S. Got held up in customs for a week or two, but there was no added cost or issues there.

Overall, I was pleased with the transaction as I’d never purchased anything that way before.

I purchased a few extra just in case, but wish I would’ve bought 3x as many just to have.

My Raceline wheels are thick in the mounting area and a “tad longer” (1-2 threads) didn’t help my issue as the stud was still too short to extend thru the lug nut. I was at the point I was going to drill everything out for a standard thread off a 2500 Ram pickup that had the same knurling. Not sure about your wheels, but seems most aluminum wheels have a similar issue.

Anyway, just so you have it I’ll post a side by side pic of an fj60 wheel stud next to the NICE aftermarket stud.

Awesome build by the way!

That’s the profile I’m needing, with the knurling reaching in to the hub.

Would those studs fit through a standard wheel for Toyota 6x5.5?

I haven’t bought wheels yet. Vascilating on whether 15” or 17”. They need to fit over 4x4 Labs arms, and not sure about back space

Should fit a standard wheel just the same, the only difference is the stud is longer. I also have Luke’s arms.

If you want, PM me your number and I can text you any pics you may want. I’d even mail you a stud if you wanted to see if it’d work for you.

Those NICE studs look like the ticket. I'm not in a huge rush so can wait.

UPDATE: Looks like they don't sell these anymore, at least not to the US

Cross members. I'm trying to decide how much cush to have in designing a cross member. I have Energy Suspension mount for the NV4500, but at the frame ends I can either add bushings there also or just bolt it solid at the frame. I've seen guys do it both ways. Decisions decisions. Any opinions?
