72 FJ40 For sale.
Has a SBC 327 that runs pretty good. Mated to stock Toyota drive train. Minimal rust on the body. Mainly just in the corners. Has about 65K according to the odometer. I would estimate closer to 80-90k.
It would be a good beginning of a trail rig, or a resto project. But that is exactly what it is, a project. It currently would need some work to make a buzz around town car or something you want to drive to the trail head.
Issues I know about are:
Electrical. Something’s work some don't. These things don't have an elaborate electrical system so figuring it should be strait forward.
Brakes. Has drums all the way around and are in need of service. The vehicle stops good. You just don't know which way it will go when you hit the brake. Typical of a drum front end. Converting to disc is as easy as using Toyota mini truck brakes or later model FJ Parts.
Transfer case makes allot of gear wine. Could just need lube.
This isn't my car. My sister and brother in law bought for a project vehicle, but she turned up pregnant so it's gotta go ASAP!
I'm going to say $4,000 because you have to have a price here. Feel free to come look at it and make an offer it. Price is pretty open as it just need to be gone to pay for baby stuff.
Thanks for looking!
