1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
All original, unrestored and in nice condition to be almost 40 years old.
Original 1F engine
3-Speed on the column
Original 60/40 front bench seat
Original rear jumpseats
Within last few months have replaced:
Battery
Alternator
Thermostat - Toyota
Tires - Goodyear Wranglers
Wheels/Hubcaps - Factory
Header
Exhaust
Old Man Emu - shocks & steering stabilizer
The previous owner had a Holley carbeurator added and I just had a header installed. The new exhaust was installed at Henry's Muffler Shop and the truck sounds great and has plenty of power. I just had the wheels/tires (5 - including spare) mounted as they were professionally sandblasted/repainted the factory color w/ Cool Cruisers of Texas paint.
This is a third vehicle for me and I only drive it about once a week to and from work (~10 miles r/t). All the items replaced have about 150-200 miles on them. This truck could be driven daily as is, or could be a great project truck as it has a lot of potential. There is some rust here and there as expected of a truck this old. The truck currently sits in a parking garage in Raleigh.
