Purchased in 2002 – drove home from North Carolina. Was bought as a project truck but didn’t find the time to do the work. Was a daily driver for 6 months but hasn’t been driven much since Aug 2003. Solid engine, transmission and transfer case – great frame, but body is in really rough shape. If you’re looking for a good mechanical base and plan to replace or restore the body this is the truck of your dreams.
All original interior (60/40 split bench). No rear jump seats. New BestTop soft top (no soft doors). Hard door with working windows. New spark plugs, plug wires and oil change July 2005. 4X4 works well (have driven it in the snow). No leaks from the engine or transmission. Roll-on bedliner covers the interior floor and wheel wells. Clear and valid Virginia title.
Requires body work and brake work. Steering is loose but new tie rod ends are included in the sale. Speedometer stuck at 80 but all other gauges work properly. Heat works well. No A/C but original FJ vents.
