Long Story:
I am selling my 1971 FJ40. This FJ40 is very unique and makes an already rare vehicle stand out even more. The truck has a rebuilt 327 Chevy engine with about 900 miles on it. After the engine rebuilt I started the engine, ran it for a few minutes, changed the oil, installed the engine, and then put about 200 miles of easy driving on it to break it in. Then I changed oil again with Mobil-1 synthetic, then I installed a 4 inch Old Man Emu lift kit, brand new rancho 9000XL adjustable shocks, and 5 new General Grabber red letter tires on 5 new white wagon wheel wheels. I also redid the gauge cluster to include 2 fuel gauges for the primary and secondary tanks, tachometer, speedometer, and an hour meter just for fun. I also installed a new wiring harness from EZ. We have a 2 year old and expecting a new baby in January so I cant give this beautiful truck the time she deserves. The truck drives very well. The motor has a higher than normal capacity oil pan with baffle plates, filter relocation kit (removes oil from hot engine momentarily to cool it and brings filter out of harms way), roller rockers, and aluminum intake manifold. Brakes are new. Rebuilt cylinders, new brake shoes, and new drums. I still have the old leaf springs which provided about a 2 or 2 1/2 inch lift and very nice soft ride just in case new owner would like to return to a little shorter ride height. The truck has an Alpine radio with IPod hook up and four 6 inch speakers. Full carpeted interior. Four point seat belts for driver and passenger. HI-Lift mount under rear passenger seat (very nice out of the way mount). Re-enforced roll bar.
