The Specs:
Saginaw power steering with boxed front frame rails and drop steering arm
Fabricated double steering arm and heavy steering links w/ hiem joints
Spring Over Axle (SOA) lift w/ rotated front knuckles
Reversed springs packs (slight extension of wheelbase)
Extended shackles (1” I think, can’t recall for sure)
Aisin hubs (from an ’84 minitruck I think)
Front Disc Brakes (same as above)
Fully re-plumbed brake lines with SS flex lines
Willwood (I think) brake master cylinder
Willwood brake proportioning valve
Willwood Clutch master cylinder
Engine mounts for Chevy 350
SM420 transmission using an Advanced Adapters plate clone
New LUK clutch
Stock tranfercasew/ custom rear drop-out crossmember – modified 4wd engagement housing
Manual 2wd/4wd and Hi/Low shift levers
Traction bar in rear
Rear differential has been “Lincoln Locked” (welded spider gears) I think I have an open diff spare.
Full rewire using Painless Wiring brand harness
Higher output Hella Headlights
Common “universal” style tail lights and marker lights/turn signals
Autogage gauges
Larger capacity custom aluminum fuel tank w/ internal baffles and sump (needs to be sealed, pinhole leak)
Custom Roll Cage, powder coated red, matching custom front bumper
Rocker panels cutout in common rust area and box tube welded in
Common rust areas on rear quarter panels cut out – no replacement
Rust cut out of rear bed area and diamond plate welded in
Slightly trimmed front fenders (back edges to match rocker panel modifications)
Needs Engine + Radiator (had a nice new aluminum radiator but it was stolen)
Needs shocks + hoops
Fuel tank Filler
Parking Brake – may have some interior parts, but not all. Drum brake was turned into a disc brake on the lathe and a spare cable actuated caliper from ant ATV was mocked up but never completed.
Needs Seat Mounts and Seats, belts – have bucket seats from Jeep Cherokee
Top/doors/rear doors and lift gate not assembled and all require some work. Top has crack in fiberglass and missing strip under front edge
Several rusted fasteners at top and hinges broke off or had to be cut off
Paint job is poor quality/peeling and should be redone (this was Rustoleum primer and paint sprayed with HPLV equipment just to keep the rust away)
Remnants of Holley Pro-Jection system installed in glove box
Note that the heavy old winch shown in the pictures was stolen and is not included.
Of course I’ll include all the spare parts/uninstalled parts that I can gather up. Some interior hardware may be gone. There are a few things that I would have done differently in hindsight, but I was younger then. The bottom line is that this could be made into a nice weekend mountain rig, but it needs to be fully gone through to clean and fix what has gone awry from sitting, finish some areas and tackle some areas that were never addressed.
I’m unlikely to check messages here very often so send me your email and I can send pictures.. I can answer any questions to the best of my memory and take more pictures as needed .
