Need to sell my 1970 FJ40 project for $7800. Freeborn Red. VIN FJ4085616. My wife isn’t in love with having two projects. My 110 needs a new motor and unfortunately the 40 has to be sacrificed. I believe I’m the 3rd owner. Original owner was from Buda, Tx if I remember correctly. I bought it from the second owner from Austin in 2010. It now resides in Bentonville, AR. Always a southern truck. It has a little cancer on drivers floor pan smaller than a dime. Rocker panels are rusted through, rear sill needs replaced. There’s a nice rifle shot through the passenger door! I have a lot of parts compiled for the resto including all door and top seals. I also have late model front and rear 35 spline axles with a Detroit locker and disc brakes. Disc brakes need to be rebuilt. Top is not original. It’s a late model ambulance door top I was converting to a hatch. I have all original rear doors and hatch. If I was going through with the resto I was going to forget about the top and go with a cage and a paki top.

Original F engine with new Weber carb
Original 3 on the tree
New valve cover
Differentials serviced and sealed
Drum brakes were serviced before I bought it
Cool Cruisers front windshield brackets
Updated front bumper
2 1/2” old man emu suspension with greasable shackles
5x 33x10.50x15 BFG mud terrains mounted on original powder coated steel wheels. Less than 50 miles. Toyota hub caps are in my parts bin.

It does run. This video is after sitting for a year and then starting it. It’s currently sitting at a body shop. It has not been started in 2 years but I’m sure dropping a fresh battery in and it will start!
