Hi guys, just joined site on rec from a buddy of mine. I've followed lots of threads, just swamped with kids and really couldn't participate. That makes me an unknown entity, I know. This is the basic CL post I've got running here in Portland, as well as the major west coast cities. More pics located there. Limited to 5 here.

1968 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. $14,750. 3rd owner. Excellent running, clean condition. Survivor. 37,241 miles on odometer, but I don't have ppwk to prove. Original F motor. Extremely little rust for these crawlers. Lived in high desert Idaho/Eastern Washington, stored for 20 years, then came to Portland area approx 5 yrs ago. Original interior with new, perfect upholstery, new headliner, and newly refinished epoxy top. Original dash. New transfer case rebuild. New brake lines. New fuel filter and fuel pump. Manual column shift transferred to floor. Electrics work. Runs strong. Warn winch. Drive now, or great candidate for big build up or restoration. I have original owners manual, jack, tooling, and many reciepts. Pre 1975 means no smog issues here in Multnomah County! Garaged. Title in hand. Call or text. Located here in Portland, OR.

Might want to provide your CL link! GLWS...

Love the rig, wish I was somewhere close to test drive, or just drive home. Let me know if you ever trailer it down to mid america...

Under hood color is diff’t than the exterior....Was it a repaint and if so was it done by you or a previous owner? Was there any rust repair done prior to paint?

Nice rig

I'd probably jump out and visit this old girl if I wasn't all the way in Virginia. I am curious about the paint though. It looks like it had some paint drip down onto the driver's floor. Maybe the owner can elaborate on prior repairs and body work. Looks pretty nice!

Original color Seafoam Green. First owner repainted it red, admittedly a bit faded now. 2nd owner had dark gray rhino lining sprayed in interior. The red you see by the floor under the pedals is where there's been a bit of rub off of the lining to the underlying red color. I'm not a body shop guy, but I couldn't find any bondo or serious corrosion. Very little rust under tailgate and 2 small spots at factory spot welds under driver's door.

Looks like a pretty decent 68 if you don't mind the smaller 1F motor, 3 speed on the column, bench seat, no roll bar, liftgate and barn doors in back and aftermarket white spokes. Haphazard repaint from it’s original color to orange-ish. Unfortunately they changed the color and blew over several parts that should not be painted while leaving the old color showing in other spots.

She has a dashpad cover over the original dashpad. It’s missing the rear market lights (holes covered by round reflectors) and the backup light has been relocated to the rear bumperette for some reason.
