Hi: Just purchased a 1966 land cruiser from the original owning family. It shows 11,000 miles which should be accurate. It is red with a white roof, interior and engine compartment> It appears that they painted the exterior red. Is it better to take it back to the original color or can I choose what I like and not hurt the value? Thoughts? Thanks.

A vehicle can only be original once. Since it has been painted once already, I do not see much damage in changing the color. As long as that color is not an awe full color choice. Really it depends on what you are wanting out of the FJ40. If you are wanting to keep it for a while, make it how you want it to be. If you are looking to flip the vehicle, keep it an original color.

Sounds good. Thanks. Thinking of taking the exterior to red. Leave the interior white, top and engine compartment. The seats are all red. Thanks for taking time to offer suggestions. I appreciate it>
