Someone please buy this thing. I really don't want to see it crushed, but it has got to go. I have no info on it other than what you see in the pics. Even if you don't want to buy it, if you've got info on it, feel free to post up. This truck is located at Iron Pig Offroad in Fredericksburg, VA. 866-IRON-PIG or 540-361-7400.

The Illustrated International Pickup and Scout Buyer's Guide focuses on the lighter trucks but that looks like a 1940-49 K series, probably pre-1945 medium duty K-5, featurin' a rip-snortin' Green Diamond 214 or 233 makin' about 83 HP by the time it reaches its 3400 RPM redline. Y'all better hold on to yer hats! The gov'mint limited production of civilian trucks during the war, it might actually be desirable to the Cornbinder crowd. It sure would look cool with those big Michelins seen in the background on it!

I appreciate the info! I posted it up for sale on an IH website. I don't know a darn thing about it, but I sure would shed a few tears if it got crushed. It is some wicked-cool old iron.

It would sure make an awesome tow rig. If you put a flat bed on it, I would expect that it would hold most rigs.

Wow! That thing brings back memories. My boss had a late 1930's International that looked just like that thing. His had a dump bed on it, and I have fond memories of dumping hundereds of yards of gravel 5 yards at a time. Good times. It's a neat truck, I hope someone grabs it up.

It has the ultra-rare Fungus paint option. The interior also has some neat options that are rarely seen on Internationals. It has the "Freestyle" upholstery package.

HAMB (Hokey Ass Message Board) might be worth a look. Hemmings Motor News? Lots of ideas here too:

Vintage Truck Magazine Links

Probably includes the IH site you posted on, and many others related to trucks. The Vintage Power is bigger trucks IIRC.
