I'm looking for a skinny 18 inch steel wheel- say 18 x 6 the fits Toyota pattern. preferably the offset would be zero but I'm not opposed using spacers if need be. I'm also not opposed to grinding out the centerbore if necessary.

Alternately I may consider a 17x6" wheel. I know that the FJ cruiser spares fit with spacers however they have a reputation for bending easily from what I've read.

What are you looking for them for, purpose wise? You talk about the FJ steelies (I think) bending easily but I have not personally heard of that and know that a lot of guys run them for overlanding type duty. The other common steel replacement is to go with the generic D-Window rims that you can find through Summit Racing and the like.

I'm interested in running a 7.50r18 tire. I found my 7.50r16s work better in compacted wet snow than the 255:85r16's but the height afforded by the larger size is a plus. Basically I'm thinking to try the tallest skinniest setup I can find.
