On the 74 HJ45, it has drums all the way around. It doesn't have the stock wheels, it has the white wagon wheels  (i hate those wheels) and I'm looking for stock, but I'm guessing they need to be 16" to clear the drums?

Is that correct? I would really like to be able to run OEM 40 wheels as they are everywhere...

I would think any 15" Cruiser wheel (drum or disc style) would work...were the drums on the overseas rigs bigger than those in the US?

I thought that I had heard that somewhere... 15" is much nicer on the pocketbook for tires...

The drums got bigger on the front the same time the birfields got bigger and the US went the disks. Not sure about wheel size, but it seems some of the Aussies have 15" rims on their "newer" troopies...

Trivia: Even some 60 series got drum brake front axles in some markets.

cool, that works, I was just making sure...i guess the only sure test is to try it. :D

I put a stock 15" FJ60 wheel on the rear axle of my '82 troopie that has the drums all around. They cleared. I haven't tried the front yet but it looks like they are the same size as the rear.
