Read a post on here, I thought, that suggested it comes with these from the factory. Local dealer says it doesn't / they're not available. Would appreciate any insights from anyone who's bought one!

haven't seen any post on covers for the rear TV's in the 16, I did see a post on third row seat covers while in the up position, maybe that's what ya saw?!?! covers on those screen would proly be a good idea while not in use!

Seems like they need HARD covers... I'd be concerned about heavy gear hitting them more than "soiling" them. More than that, I'd be looking for a way to cleanly remove them...since kids will be watching movies on iPads or Phones most of the time anyway...

Covers are soft covers and come with every 16 LC. Dealers are clueless and they don't know anything. Third row middle headrest was missing and they had no clue that there was a packet for it in the third row seat. Screen covers were in plastic cover without a description. So dealers don't even know that they are there.

Woah! Those are HUGE!

Why do they have to be so THICK??? Man...an iPad is like 6mm thick. These things are like 12 iPads thick!

Looking at the top where the screen tilts... Almost looks like it may be designed to spin, and turn over so the screen is facing the seat...?

Hope so, but wow. Those things just seem unnecessarily thick to me.

Ya. So true. Most Toyota dealers don't even have one on the lot, and most sales people are indeed clueless.

On the other hand, I've been steadily learning nifty little tricks about my own 200 since buying it earlier this year. ;) -Like cool, but hidden functions of the key fob...other hidden customizations, etc. But one would hope the sales guys would at leas know the basic stuff. They don't seem to.

while we are talking about the rear screens, those puppies are gonna be right in the way of a rear facing child seat, just saying... That being said my 16 year old daughter thinks those screens are awesome!

Here's one thing I DO like: Protective backing on the seats for when they are folded down...

Not sure why they decided to leave the edges unprotected though...

But back to the DVD screens... I'd just buy a couple of iPad Pros and mounts for them...and BOOM. 1000x better.

And in three years when better technology is available, buy a couple new iPads for a few hundred bucks.

Literally my thought exactly, there are plenty of aftermarket, high-quality headrest mounts and functionality will be better no matter how well the OEM product performs

Thanks very much for this!

I'd imagine the vast majority of owners would want the truck without the screens. I think that's why Toyota bundles them in - to ensure they don't forego the margin! The only good news is that they're not nearly as big/close when you actually sit in the rear seats - they look much bigger in photos.

OK... Not to pile on here...but THIS?
-Somebody goofed. Wow.

Look what happens to the screens at minute 14:30 in this Youtube video...when the middle seats fold forward.
Yikes!

Just skip forward (after skipping the advert) and scrub to just past 14 minutes in...

Alright - so my local dealer claims they nothing about these covers, and that neither do two affiliated dealers. "They don't exist" is the feedback. I can call Toyota NA to verify, I suppose, but a photo speaks a thousand words. Any chance one of you '16 owners would be able to take a photo and post it? If it's a hassle, don't worry about it. Will put in the call to Toyota that the dealer can't be bothered to make...

I test drove a lot 16' Saturday that had the covers on the screens. Soft cloth. Nothing fancy

Thanks for confirming - along with others. I've also called Toyota to have them check and confirm. They didn't seem impressed that a prospective customer was researching an issue that the dealer should be able to address. Whoops!

In the above video around 13:40 you can see those covers still in bubble bag. You can see in the video two sets of headphones. The bag to the right has covers in it. Here are pictures of the covers.
