16 inch wheels from 2002 4r sport fit on an 08 gx?

I've got a set of 2002 4r sport wheels in my storage shed, and was wondering if anyone has run 16's on their gx470s? I'm not sure if they changed rotor or caliper sizes when they went to 17 inch wheels or not. Just curious, because that might give me some different options for tires.

I will be corrected by someone here if this is wrong, but pretty sure you can't go smaller than 17" due to brakes/rotors.

I figured it was because of larger rotors. Stuff you think about when youre 650 miles from home. LOL

Yep, they won't fit. GX has larger rotors and brakes. Cannot run those 16" 2002 4runner wheels. Cannot run 16" 4th gen 4runner wheels either and can't run 16" FJ Cruiser wheels either.

17s or larger.
