I am frequent flier in the 60 series section. I have been daily driving and FJ62 for some years now but a kid on the way forced me into a family vehicle. But not just any family rig, I'm staying Toyota and instead of getting a 4Runner like every other weekend warrior(not that they arent cool), I'm going sequoia because they look awesome done up and you dont see that very often. Pic of my new rig below. I still need to pick it up from the dealer this weekend, but took this pic on my test drive. It's a 2007 Limited with 175K and a brand new frame, but some rust in the rear wheel wells that is very fixable and it has started in on the pinch welds/rockers. I'll oil undercoat them and stop the rust in its tracks.
I have some plans like a lift and some other mods, but I have a major question. Coming from 3 previous 60 series I have amassed many parts. Some of which are wheels and tires. I have an amazing set of 15 inch wheels and new 33X12.5X15R Falken wildpeak tires that are brand new. Would putting the 15's on this rig even work and if it works, would it look terrible? Running these tires will easily save me a grand. I always run spacers for the pushed out look, so hoping the calipers wont be an issue. Anyone know anything I dont about putting this wheel tire combo on? Many thanks and I look forward to becoming part of this section.
