Has anyone installed one of these panels from OZ?

RGB Electronics (Australia) >> Universal DC Power Board >> Pre-wired kit

They sell for around $150 US on the eBay OZ site.

CIGARETTE LIGHTER MERIT ENGEL SOCKET 12V DC ADAPTER TOYOTA LANDCRUISER BTCP0010R | eBay

There are a few different configurations, including standard 12v cigarette plugs, Engel-specific plugs, USB, Merit sockets, etc. Also looks like they have a special 100 series setup.

RGB Electronics (Australia) >> Land Cruiser 4WD Power Switch Panel >> GXL 98-04

The linked unit is only rated at a total combined draw of 20 amps and outlets are not individually fused:frown:.

Sure, but most of us could easily re-wire the setup in less than an hour with as much power protection and circuit isolation as needed. I was most interested in it due to the different plugs, and the obvious Land Cruiser aluminum panel.

Here is a shot of the backside. Nothing magic in upgrading the wires, or re-wiring to your own taste.

Yes and no ...You rewire what do you do with the 20A rated switch and the 20A amp gauge? It does have a cool bling look but one could buy the different plugs for 1/3 of the price. I know but it would not look as cool:D

Out of curiosity where would you mount it?

$150 is steep for something you can turn out with any drill press, especially if you have to re-wire it to suit your application.

It is definitely not cheap, as you also need to get it over here from OZ.

I did get a reply back from RGB yesterday, and the nice bit is that they will customize with whatever plug-types you like, and whatever gauge you want. Not 100% ready to pull the trigger here, but will keep this as a nice option.

Mounting would either be on the cover of the PS storage panel, or to the left or right, depending on size and other items I have stuffed back in there.

The one below has a digital volt gauge, and I like the dedicated Engel plug which is much better than a standard cigarette port.

If/when I get one, it definitely will show up in Mud.
